By :This is amazing can arfofd 1000s of dollars worth of titanium ring but cannot arfofd a 200K house!consumerism at its bestRE: I bought titanium because it is relatively inexpensive, light, and indestructible. But you wouldn't know that. You just think all metals with names towards the bottom of the periodic table are equally valuable. It doesn't quite work that way. These were handmade in British Columbia out of aircraft grade Ti, inscribed, covered with a black industrial diamond coating and annealed. $275 each. They are stunning. They look like they were carved out of obsidian. Perhaps you were thinking of platinum. Due to it's scarcity it commands a decent price per ounce. Hey, give your honey the same metal that's in her car's catalytic converter! Classy.Idiot. Rate this comment: 0 0

Another important ditael lost in McIntyre's proxy onslaught:To illustrate the calculation, I’ve picked the AD1000 Mann 2008 data set as an example since it covers the MWP. I’ve used the late-miss version (calibration 1859-1949) to work through, since it will give a look at any potential “divergence problems” in non-dendro data. This appears to mean McIntyre's reconstruction is based on only those proxies that pass screening for 1859-1949, rather than the whole calibration period up to 1995. No wonder even his 1000-1100 century portion doesn’t match.I'm also wondering how the whole calibration period (whether up to 1949 or up to 1995) can end up almost all below 0.

I hate all these insensitive coemnmts about why Sara Greene is even complaining when she has big boobs. Be lucky men refuse to look you in the eyes! Be lucky you can't jump up and down without hurting yourself! Be lucky you have to break you neck/your bank to find a decent bra! Big boobs are NOT all they're cracked up to be in the freaking movies. Don't get me wrong, i love my large breasts, but most of the time they're a burden and at least having normal sized breasts would make most of us feel better.

Look at the attendance list: there were very few camtlie scientists at the meeting, so actually discussing camtlie science may have been problematic for the simple reason that most would not understand much of the discussion anyway. It's quite telling, for me at least, that there were so few European camtlie scientists (one: Hans von Storch), and that the two camtlie scientists from the US were from the same place (Judith Curry and Peter Webster). From what I have seen and read, James Risbey is the most alarmist' on camtlie change. I wonder whether his head hurt after being surrounded by so many pseudo-skeptics.
