ScotsmanSome of these ideas are worth looking at, but as alayws, they are skewed to favor certain tax brackets so that the masses can stomach it. I am afraid that they won't touch the mortgage interest deduction b/c real estate is in such a precarious position, and the banking industry I am sure will let them know what would happen if they caused house values to fall further by removing another ownership incentive. The only one that has a chance of making it through, and I will be surprised if Obama doesn't push for it, is raising capital gains taxes. This is the only one that won't affect the real estate prices. It may affect stock prices though as it becomes more costly to take a profit. Rate this comment: 0 0

cock-a-twice!) of legend was carteed when rooster hatched an egg laid by a snake, hence the creature has some of the nature of both. It is also called basilisk, from the greek basil- meaning king because it rules over other snakey things. Its powers are variously described as petrification, super acid, or super poison, depending on the source. Also, sometimes it is not a snake's egg but an egg laid by the rooster itself. In real life roosters do sometimes lay eggs, but of course they are empty.

I love this piece of art.
Because it is viewed vertically, I actually thought it was a portrait (of someone's head) at first when I saw it on the main gallery. If you look differently, by the trunk you can imagine an eye and the space between the legs becomes a talking mouth. The color can be skin tone like and the collaged squares could be all of the little pieces of memory and information we have stored in our brain. The great thing about art is that it is all in the eye of the beholder!
